Forgotten Villages

The Mykolaiv and Kherson areas are home to numerous communities that are remote and “off the radar”, our “forgotten villages”. Our focus originally was to provide aid to those who, for various reasons, could not leave. Even in the front line or “red zones” people, mostly elderly, remained. Often their situation was dire.

The situation since liberation is improved and many people have returned to their homes in these forgotten villages. In the more remote or extreme areas there is still a major problem with basic infrastructure such as electricity and access to clean drinking water. Sometimes despite the passage of many months.

Aid -packs for the forgotten villages are prepared in advance in the Hub in Odesa. Each pack includes a standard food set and WASH products. Baby food and diapers are issued separately according to the age and size. The packs are then delivered to the villages using our dedicated and well equipped vans driven by our security trained drivers. Basic qualified medically trained personnel are part of each aid run.

How to support us

Second year of war in Ukraine: Thousands of people are counting on your support.

The days and months of violence, trauma, loss, destruction, and displacement for the people of Ukraine are ongoing. Millions of people have fled, but many are displaced and are uprooted from their homes, separated from their families. Many have stayed in their destroyed villages and are put at risk of attacks. Help us reach more people in need.
